Using the Caraflo V200 for a normal shower is straightforward. However, because it is a thermostatic valve, there are a few things to keep in mind.

Loosen the internal plug to let trapped water escape freely from the internal thermostatic cartridge chambers.

Place the temperature knob loosely back onto the splined brass spindle. If too cold: Turn the spindle slightly counter-clockwise. If too hot: Turn the spindle slightly clockwise.
